Purchase intent driven by paid delivery.
How delivery is performing against industry benchmarks and the program's break-even goal.
We tested the checkout ourselves on 5-Aug — signed out, on mobile, arriving the way a paid visitor does.
Guest checkout works — there is no login wall and no forced account creation, so that theory is ruled out. What we found instead, all at the payment step:
Proportionally the shipping charge is heaviest on exactly the low-priced products the site sells best: +16.7% on a $59.99 item, +50% on $19.99, +77% on $12.99. Against the site's ~$28 average order value, $9.99 flat shipping is 36% of the order.
What we cannot see, and what would settle it: the dataset carries four events — ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout and Purchase. There is no AddPaymentInfo event, so the entire form-completion stage is invisible. We can see people arrive at the payment page and not buy; we cannot see which step loses them. Adding that one event would answer in days what we are currently inferring.
Inventory note. Two of the four products in the current flight are running with most colour variants sold out — 5 of 6 on one, 4 of 5 on the other — while their creative promises colour choice. This shows up as a drop between product view and add-to-cart (1.1% versus 8.0% on the fully-stocked product), not as weak click-through, and should not be read as a creative or pricing result.
